ARE YOU A SELFISH PERSON??? …. I AM!!!!!
And I suggest you become like that too.
I mean, putting YOU first when you need it.
Ever feel you’re always putting OTHERS first?
I bet you do.
Life takes over, kids to feed, errands, work ……..
Endless isn’t it?
That’s called NEGLECTING yourself.
You become a shadow of your former self, you may not even recognise YOU.
Would you neglect anyone you love? So why YOU????
I’m at the stage of my life when the only things that are important is family, health and happiness.
I don’t exercise or try to eat well to impress a girl or to have a six pack on the beach.
It’s about feeling the best I can feel, having the best quality of life I can have.
And sometimes that means being SELFISH.
DEMANDING an hour away from things that are holding me back.
Away from the stresses and strains of life.
Placing MASSIVE importance upon looking after ME.
((Without me feeling great, everything falls to pieces around me))
Yes, it’s hard to prioritise things and have the strength to step back sometimes and breathe.
How do I do it??????
I eat as much decent, nutritious, wholesome food I can (during the week) to fuel me daily.
— no starvation or fad dieting and YES, treats when deserved —
I exercise – like I mean it – at least three times a week.
— working with intensity, not going through the motions —
I meditate for ten minutes every day.
— time for ME —
Even at my lowest points I do SOMETHING to move my body, get oxygen in, get the blood moving.
((This could be as simple as a stroll through town))
Think about it………
If you don’t move, what types of emotions do you have?
Overwhelm, stagnation, doubt, fear, anxiety???
If you’re moving, fuelling your body well, being your best??
= confidence, determination, progress, tenacity.
That’s my experience anyway!
